Technology is the key to improving a custom-er’s logistics efficiency and costs. Most technol-ogy is presented as a “system,” and any system must provide both simple and complex pro-cesses to solve the problems of today’s con-nected global supply chain. These processes should be integrated via API when cost effi-cient, which enables real time connectivity to data services and other platforms. This must be in the Cloud, agile, flexible, scalable, configurable, and, most importantly, secure.
